Here is such a delightful video that I can recommend anyone should look at if you want to witness the drive of about five kilometers, from Amalfi up to Ravello. You start in Amalfi right at the Lungomare dei Cavalieri, next to the sea. First the drive leads you along the coast towards Atrani, when following a sharp bend to the left you continue up towards Pontone, the next hamlet you will see to your left, enveloped in olive groves and lemon gardens. And up we go, soon the villages of Minuta and Scala come to your sight on the left again, and finally at a cross-roads we go up to Ravello ...
Impressive cliffs, winding roads
During the drive, a few stops are due to traffic lights, as these roads are so winding and in part so narrow there is no other choice to make coaches, buses, cars, etc pass and arrive safely at their destinations.
This is a rather "fast drive" up, so the undertitle "fasten your seatbelts" is appropriate. Still, you will get such a good impression of the lush green valley and hinterland of Amalfi, leading up towards Ravello perched above the Amalfi coast (365 meters above sea level). Enjoy !!
